krohne OPTIWAVE 1520 Radar level transmitter

  • NG # 006621-HW-KROHNE-021

Manufactured by:

This seller generally responds in under 48 hours

The OPTIWAVE 1520 is a 2-wire 80 GHz radar level transmitter for basic applications with liquids and solids. Its PVDF Lens antenna and compact housing make it particularly suitable for use in confined spaces as well as harsh process and environmental conditions such as outdoor applications, where a high degree of robustness is required. The level radar is therefore the ideal choice for cost-effective level measurement of sewage sludge and wastewater as well as treated water, e.g. in pumping stations, screw lifting stations or water basins.

Description

It is equally designed for use in small silos with granulates such as sand or other products. The level transmitter is also available in an IP68-rated waterproof version, capable of withstanding heavy rainfall and flooding.

With its front-flush antenna design and its narrow beam angle, the cost-effective 80 GHz radar can also be used in small open tanks or pressurised vessels with internal obstructions where level measurement with dead zones is not an option. Due to its extremely high dynamic range, the OPTIWAVE 1520 is also able to provide reliable readings in the event of condensation or moving surfaces.
