Manufactured by:
The OPTIWAVE 1530 is a 2-wire 80 GHz radar (FMCW) level transmitter for cost-effective, non-contact level measurement of solids. It is also designed for measuring agitated and poorly reflecting liquids. Its flush-mounted DN70 / 3” Lens antenna has a beam angle of just 4°. As a result, the level radar provides reliable level measurement, particularly in extremely narrow tanks or containers, without causing interfering reflections.

Description
The compact radar unit is made entirely of PVDF and is therefore extremely durable. With its high dynamic range and fully potted electronics, the OPTIWAVE 1530 is ideal for demanding environments with dusty atmospheres and vibrations, making it particularly suitable for mining applications with crushers, conveyor belts, stockpiles or small bunkers. The 80 GHz radar is therefore ideal for measuring a wide range of materials - from rocks and ROM ore to gravel, granulate and powders. It is also suitable for applications with grain and animal feed, pellets or waste in silos with a height of up to 15 m / 49.3 ft. In addition, the OPTIWAVE 1530 is also used in more demanding applications with agitators and liquids with a low εr value, such as edible oil.
